Broughton is located between Garstang Road and the B5269. Just a few minutes away from the M6 and M55, giving you good connections across the North West. Blackpool and Lytham St Annes are a short distance to travel to. Around 15 miles. The market town of Garstang just 7 miles away. Broughton is served by 3 buses all running along Garstang Road. Stagecoach services 40and 41 connect to Preston City Centre. From Preston Train Station you can access mainline train routes to major cities.

- Broughton and District Club. Situated on Whittingham Lane, the club has on site flood lit facilities for tennis and bowls.
- Preston Guild Wheel. An excellent off-road cycle route, which can be ridden in small sections for families with smaller children or as a complete ride.
- Avenham and Miller Parks. Lovely place to visit. Plenty of walking around the park and river café with beautiful gardens.
- Harris Museum and Art Gallery. A great day out for all the family. The museum is a treasure trove of fantastic art and fascinating objects for all the family to enjoy.
- Ribble Steam Railway and Museum. Tucked away in Preston’s old Industrial Dockland. Open every Sunday 10.30- 17.00, running a passenger train on the hour taking on a journey through the Preston Docks.
- Barton Grange Garden Centre. Complete with huge café and restaurant and a full shop of farm produce, excellent meats and cakes.
