“Our Stewart Milne House is unique.”
“I really like Gillburn Grange. It’s a lovely location.”
Gillburn Grange is quiet but close to amenities. The development is small and intimate and everyone here is friendly. A lot of developments look the same now-a-days but the houses on this development have a lot of character. There is greenery around the development, it's nicely laid out and attractive. There is a real community feel - we get on well with the neighbours and everyone makes an effort to get to know one another.
“I really love the look of the house.”
The only concern that I had was that I hadn't seen the house in person. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. This was clarified when I used the virtual tours online. They were helpful when trying to get an idea of how the house will look. Our house is unusual looking - I have light green cladding on it. I've never seen that before, it's different. I wasn't sure how it was going to look but it gives the building character and stands out at the same time as being traditional.
“The homes are spacious.”
I have noticed that the homes are very spacious which is good. This was appealing for me as in the past new builds have been cramped. The rooms are all a nice size. My house has a lovely open-plan living area. The home has been designed to bring a lot of light in. You get the feeling of more space.
“The Stewart Milne Homes team has been on hand and helpful.”
They have been really good at communicating and keeping us in the loop. They have helped and been on hand if I have had any concerns as a new build buyer.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the customer service has been really good. They've kept us informed all the way through. The house is nicely done and well built.

“We love our Stewart Milne House.”
“Our home is designed really well for our use.”
We love being in this house because the size and the layout of the house are both good. We work from home, so we use the bedrooms as offices.
“Broughton Park is a lovely location.”
The development is nice, quiet and small. It's very close to motorway links, which is important for travelling; there’s a nice mix of countryside and coast. There is a lot to do in the local area. Plenty of country walks are around here with lovely places to eat, such as village pubs and restaurants. Supermarkets are nearby, so I can shop for essentials too.
“I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because we like the house and the build of the house; it's a good design. We have already recommended them.
Miles Nolan - Broughton Park
“The Stewart Milne Houses Are Stunning.”
“Gillburn Grange is beautiful, which is what attracted us.”
The development is located in a lovely area that is nice and quiet. We love the houses as they are all grand and the brick work is excellent. They have made lots of little garden areas with trees and shrubs.
“Stewart Milne’s homes have the WOW factor.”
The look of our house was the first thing that attracted us to Gillburn Grange. We liked the design and garden area. It's what sold the house to us. We have 3 floors so there is plenty of room for the kids. The house is very spacious, it even has space for a playroom so it fits all our needs. The walk-in wardrobe was a big selling factor as it had a lot of storage.
“We love the green areas surrounding our home.”
We love that our home is located on a small development that doesn't have hundreds and hundreds of houses on it. The location drew us in. It's a smaller rural village that is in-between bigger towns. Even though it's rural, it's in the midst of everything. It's out of the way but a five-minute drive to these larger towns. The green areas break the development up and are nice for the kids to go and play without the danger of a road. There are lots of small cul-de-sacs which make it safer.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the houses look gorgeous inside and out.
Lauren Jaconelli -
“Stewart Milne Homes delivered the house quickly and to a good standard.”
“The location of my home is very convenient for me.”
The first thing I noticed about Wrea Brook Park is that my home is in the centre. It’s located in a good place that is convenient for me when travelling to work. The development is in the countryside and there are lots of open spaces. It's not a busy area and not a lot of traffic passes through it. Public transport is available and there are bus stations close by so my wife can walk to the bus stop when she doesn’t have the car. I like the area as it’s quiet and peaceful and is in a good location, it's a good neighbourhood.
“The build quality of the home is great; we are very happy here.”
The house has been built to a very good standard. It’s great for me as inside the home it’s very quiet, you can’t hear noise from the outside.
“The Stewart Milne Homes staff have supported us.”
The staff have visited two or three times over the past few weeks in order to check the house and to ensure that we don’t have any problems. If there are any problems, they take care of them very quickly. The people working here are nice.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
The staff are very friendly, and the handover was on time. All the defects have been repaired in time and the location of the property is very good for me.
Dr Sanjay Kalyan - Wrea Brook Park
“I have settled quickly and well into my new Stewart Milne Home”
“Dargavel Village is a handy development to live on.”
I'm happy with the situation of the flat as it is within easy walking distance to shops and the train station. This is helpful as I am in my mid 70s and I don't need my car anymore as I only use it once a week. I know the area and I'm really happy to be back here. I like that my property looks out onto greenery, and I like that the house styles are varied.
“To begin with I was apprehensive, but since living here everything has worked out very well.”
It was quite a change to move from a 4-bed detached bungalow to a 2-bed flat. I'm happy with the design of the flat. I like the size and dimensions of the space. The main feature that attracted me to the flat was the balcony as I have a dog that likes to look out from it. Having a balcony is the best of both worlds. It's nice to be both inside and outside.
The upkeep of my previous house and garden was getting too much for me and the council tax was higher. The heating was also much more expensive. The upkeep in this Stewart Milne property is much more manageable.
“The Stewart Milne Homes staff have been very helpful.”
The staff have been very helpful and kind. It has been very handy to have Sam on the development as he is kind and sorts out my problems.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because I like the design of the property. The size of the flat is a good. The amenities on the development are quite handy and the transport links seem to be good.
Isobelle Outch - Dargavel Village
“Stewart Milne Homes’ staff were always happy to help.”
“Wrea Brook Park is a quiet, homely development with good transport links.”
Wrea Brook Park is not too big for a development. We are living in a very nice cul-de-sac and Everyone is friendly here. It is a good location for children too; the park at Wrea Brook Park is great and there is a large variety of kids’ play equipment. The development is accessible and it’s in a good location. It’s not in the middle of a busy place but you can get to the motorway quickly and easily.
“I felt supported by Stewart Milne Homes.”
Any of the snags I had that needed to be fixed were sorted quickly and effectively. The houses here are built really nicely and maintained well by the staff on site. The site manager and the sales ladies were helpful and would answer all my questions. They would also ask what else they could do for us once they had finished.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the whole process has been good, and the size of the property is perfect for me.
Caitlin Egan - Wrea Brook Park
“I have the best view on the Dunnottar Park Development.”
“The Stewart Milne Homes staff were friendly.”
The sales consultant and the site manager have been approachable throughout the process. They have been friendly but efficient and have been accommodating. Overall, the staff have been very helpful. I have had no concerns as they have dealt with my snagging issues quickly.
“The Stewart Milne houses have style.”
I like the style of the houses on the Dunnottar Park development, in particular, I like the dark wood and brickwork that Stewart Milne Homes have used to build their homes. The mix of those materials is pleasing to me. The houses are well equipped.
“It’s a lovely neighbourhood.”
The neighbours are very good people. I have an excellent view of Dunnottar Park and it's secluded. It's a nice situation and I like the style of the other houses. I'm at the bottom of the development so I'm not overlooking people and my plot is close to the forest.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because I have had no complaints at all, the sale was great and my house is nice.
Alan Duguid - Dunnottar Park
“Stewart Milne Homes has planned Dargavel Village to a very good standard.”
“Dargavel Village is a great development”
The landscaping of Dargavel Village is pleasant and green. The bushes and trees that they have planted look nice. The development is not just made up of concreate as they have landscaped it well with plenty of space and plenty of room for cars to park. It's a big development but the apartments are tucked away so I don't feel like I'm in the middle of it. It doesn't feel like they are surrounding us. Dargavel Village has been very well planned and is a friendly place.
I like that the motorway is very accessible as it leads to many shopping areas that I can go to quickly. My partner and I have come from the country so getting to the motorway in 5 minutes is good for us.
“We were very lucky to get this home”
We were worried that we wouldn’t be able to get this particular home as they were already in contact with a potential buyer. However, the buyer pulled out of the sale, so they called us to ask us if we wanted it. It was marvellous.
“The move has been a big change for us, but Stewart Milne Homes have been very professional.”
We came from a big house, and we have always had a detached house, so it was a big change. The Stewart Milne Homes staff were very professional in the office so I didn’t have a lot of concerns as the staff supported us throughout the process. They have been friendly and Rosanna, the sales representative, was fantastic. There were two sales ladies that were good. They kept in touch with us and helped us to move into this more manageable property as we are in our 70s.
“They welcomed us and alleviated our concerns.”
The salesgirl from the office came and helped us with our heating and hot water. The Stewart Milne staff were very good with us on our completion day. They walked us through the home and explained how things worked. I liked the look of the building; the brickwork is lovely and the materials that they have used are good quality.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because my experience of buying has been smooth. The Stewart Milne staff were very efficient and did a lot for us. The workmen on site were so friendly. Nothing has been a hassle for them. Roseanna and Ashley from the sales office were absolutely fantastic. They know how to do their jobs well.
Elizabeth McGraw - Dargavel Village
“We have been happy throughout the whole process from the very beginning.”
“I really like where Wrea Brook Park is situated.”
I like the area as it’s very quiet. I like the fresh air and the greenery that is around the development.
“Our issues have been resolved.”
The issues that we have had in the home have been resolved quickly and efficiently.
“I really like this house.”
The house is not far from where I lived before moving which is about 7 miles away. I wanted to live at Wrea Brook Park as I wanted to stay on this side of the country. I love living in the countryside and everything is green. I am happy with my house and Wrea Brook Park is also very quiet because it is not overcrowded. The schools in the area are also good.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because the houses are affordable.
Mr Tiberiu Cirstea - Wrea Brook Park
“Dargavel Village is a modern development”
“Dargavel Village is a really good place to live”
There are very nice features in the development, such as a cannon at the top of the development and a pond – there are lots of nice things. Dargavel Village is large, but it doesn’t feel as though there are too many people, as there is plenty of space. It is a nice and safe area too, which is important to me. This is definitely the place I want to stay in.
Dargavel Village is conveniently placed.
There are facilities around the development, such as supermarkets and restaurants, so you don’t have to travel. The estate layout and the roads are good, and the access to the motorway is really handy. We have a train station here as well – it is all positive.
The homes have their own distinct style.
All of the houses at Dargavel Village look great. The brickwork has been nicely done, the houses look unique and there is lots of variation in the designs. It is not a bland area because there are lots of different house types.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because I really like the style of the home.
Stacey Ann Johnstone - Dargavel Village
“With Stewart Milne Homes all you need to worry about is getting the furniture in.”
“They’ve spared no expense.”
This is the third new build I’ve moved into, and this home feels complete. Not only have they given a lot of thought and attention to detail in the property with the spacious, high ceilings, but what they’ve included as standard makes a big difference. The turf, fencing, the gate with a hook, the outdoor tap and the security lights are things you would normally have to put in yourself or select as an expensive extra. Here, a lot of things you would normally have to do in the first year of moving in have already been taken care of, which is really good.
“In a lot of new build estates, the houses are crammed together, but at Broughton Park you get a feeling of space.”
They’ve done well with the general layout. There is quite a lot of room around the properties, and once it’s finished there will be a big, green area with some children’s play equipment as well. That will be great for my young kids.
“It was pretty built-up where I came from, but now I have a bit more of a country lifestyle.”
I love that I can walk out of my estate and see green fields, but also that we’re still fairly close to town. In Preston we have everything we need, like top cinemas, gyms, shops and restaurants, and in Broughton village there are a couple of well-regarded restaurants and a local Co-op, which is handy.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because I do like the attitude that they have. I like how they proactively fix things. It does feel like they're a premium house builder, and I can tell that they're certainly keen to keep their five-star rating because they can't do enough for you.
Mr Stephen McCririe - Broughton Park
“We love everything about our house, it’s good for the soul”
“Shawfair is situated in a great location”
The development is close to town and the local amenities that we have are fantastic. We live near a big shopping centre and a train station, which is really handy. We feel like we are in town, but it still has that countryside feel.
“The views at Shawfair are beautiful”
Having a view of the sea was quite unexpected before we moved here. We also have a lovely woodland park which is only a two-minute walk across the road and is perfect for dog walks. From our kitchen window, we can see almost twenty miles down the coast. In the evening, the sun casts a lovely red glow across the sea.
“We love the design, layout and the amount of space in our house”
The rooms are all brilliantly sized in our home, and the big, open-plan kitchen diner was one of the main attractions for us. The bathrooms are also generously sized; we have three en-suite bathrooms, and each one has a large shower rather than a tiny little square. The space that we have here has been good for the soul.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the houses are really well built and the rooms are of a fantastic size. What you get for your money is very good and the area is also nice.
Mr Paul Smith & Ms Joanna Carberry - Shawfair
“It’s quiet and peaceful in Broughton Park, and we’re very happy.”
“I was looking forward to having a new build.”
We moved out of a very large, old house, built to a high specification where everything was wood. With this house being all UPVC, I had concerns that it wouldn’t be as nice. I was pleased to find our home had a far superior feel compared to new builds I’d seen in the past, with excellent quality.
“Living in a semi-rural area without many houses is a nice balance.”
Broughton Park is private and well-built. The different styles of houses and thoughtful planning of their positioning means no one is overlooked. Our lounge is in the back, and when I look out into the garden, I can’t see any neighbours. Where they could have put in a few other houses, they’ve left quite a lot of green areas too, so we have a lot of green and trees around us. Living in a semi-rural area without many houses gives us a nice balance.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because it's a nice development, we've had good service and the houses are lovely.
Mrs Linda Worsley - Broughton Park
“Broughton Park has the feel of quality”
“A lot of thought has gone into the design of Broughton Park”
Rather than feeling like you’ve bought a new build which looks the same as everyone else’s, it feels like it is your own. Some of the homes are rendered, some are not, and some are partly rendered. Rooftops also come in different colours; one might be red and the other might be grey. This gives the development some variety and makes your own home feel unique.
Broughton Park has been well-built, and the houses feel like they’ve been finished nicely. All the houses look substantial because of the thought which has been put into their design and aesthetics. The development just has a really nice feel.
“The location here is just perfect”
Broughton Park is close to the local village, the motorways and the countryside. We can head into the city, into towns or we can go for rural walks. It has a mix of everything. We are just very happy to be here; it’s a nice place to live.
“Stewart Milne Homes provide a brilliant service”
Before completion, we had sold our house and we needed to move out, so we were a bit nervous about it being a new build. Stewart Milne Homes delivered bang on the timescale, so we were able to move in exactly when we needed.
Our other concern was the potential snagging. We expected there to be snags, but Stewart Milne Homes were completely on it. They kept us updated throughout. They still knock on the door, send emails and make phone calls. The communication has been constant, and they’ve been great.
“Stewart Milne Homes build generously sized properties”
I feel like they have maximised the space within the house, and it doesn’t feel like any areas have been wasted. The layout flows nicely and provides us with a great amount of room. My wife really likes the Juliet balconies in the home. Due to the size of the home and garden, we don’t feel crammed in at all.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because they seem to be fundamentally good people. They care, their homes are good quality, and their prices are reasonable.
James McWalter - Broughton Park
“The fact our home was unique was a nice surprise.”
Compared to other new builds we feel Dunnottar Park is different.
Rather than having a cookie cutter approach, your home is your own. Throughout the development every house has a slightly different exterior, and we’re particularly fond of the brickwork. Our home has a full brickwork exterior, using a darker brick, rather than the white finish you usually get. We have our own garden with a lot of space for our dog to run around, and being south-facing, light just pours into our house all day.
“There are like-minded families all around us.”
There’s a great community at Dunnottar Park. A lot of our neighbours have kids and dogs, and it’s great to be close to the countryside and the town. We can enjoy beautiful walks and lovely views in the local forest. There are a lot of places to go that everyone can enjoy.
“The Sales Team and Site Manager have been very accommodating and helpful.”
We ended up moving into the development very quickly, and at short notice. In four weeks, the house was practically built. We showed an interest in keeping things moving along, and they were excellent in making sure to keep us in the loop.
“We did worry as we hadn’t purchased a new build property before.”
With any new builds you get the odd story about them not working out or having things wrong with them. We were happy to find we didn’t have any issues like that, and we really enjoy living here.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because it has been a really easy process for us, and we have been really happy with the end result. It has been better than we would have expected.
Mr Chris Knight - Dunnottar Park
“We are really happy with our house because of its good quality and workmanship”
“Our concerns about it being a new build never materialised”
This is our first house together, and because it was our first time going for a new build, we were unsure of what the quality would be like. However, after moving in we found that the house is of a high-quality and our friends and family have also commented on this. The on-site Stewart Milne Homes employees and the welcome pack have also provided us with quick and friendly support for any initial snagging issues we've had.
“Our home is nice and spacious”
The layout of the home is perfect for modern living, for example, the combined dining and kitchen space leading out onto the back garden. The master bedroom walk-in wardrobe is a very generous size and this leaves us to enjoy much more of the bedroom space by storing all our clothing and other items out of the way. Also, having our separate utility room and storage space means that we can keep our kitchen free for more socialising.
“We love living close to the countryside”
In Gillburn Grange, we can enjoy walks in the nearby countryside while also having easy access to shops, parks and transportation. There is plenty of greenery on the development as well which is a great added touch by Stewart Milne, with its trees and grassy spaces in front of each property, and all of the communal areas here are very well maintained.
There is also the layout of Gillburn Grange; there is such a variety of house styles and thought given to the layout of the whole development including the village green, so there is a nice flow to the area. Some houses feature blonde stone frontages, whereas others have red sandstone. The way Stewart Milne Homes have built Gillburn Grange adds plenty of character often missing from newly built developments.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because we're really happy with the house. It's great value for money, the size is substantial, and the workmanship is of a great quality.
Lucy -
“We were downsizing, so the proportion and layout of the home attracted us, especially considering the price and location.”
“We did a bit of research, and with the locale and their reputation, Stewart Milne Homes ticked all the boxes.”
When we arrived at the show house, we thought it looked nice, particularly with the kitchen-diner and the walk-in wardrobe. The benefits and incentives appealed to us, and it would be a smooth and straightforward transaction because there was no chain. The assistant we met was so helpful, it sealed the deal.
“It’s quite idyllic.”
Having previously lived in a bungalow surrounded by countryside, we’re happier having a bit of space without so many people around. With just fifty houses, it doesn’t look big, and we don’t feel like we’re in the middle of town because the houses aren’t cramped together. They’ve taken time and effort to add plants and shrubs to provide nice landscaping, and the neighbours are friendly too. It used to be a distance to travel whenever we needed to go shopping, so the location in the furthest southern edge of Aberdeen puts us in a great position. All the amenities are in close proximity, so we have everything we need.
“The follow up from the staff, particularly Brian the Site Manager, has been excellent.”
Of the few small issues we needed to be addressed, most of them have been done. Brian is still on site, and he’s been extremely helpful. Whenever we saw him about anything, he’d try his best to help. From what I’ve seen so far, I’ve been happy.
Mr David Downie -
“We get the best of both worlds with Stewart Milne Homes.”
“Leathen Green looks like a nice area.”
The public transport getting into town has been good. I like the yellow, sandy stone brickwork on the walls because it complements the pebbledash look on most of the houses; there’s a nice aesthetic to the development. Quietness and space are prevalent in the neighbourhood, even though we’re not far from city life, meaning we have easy access if we need it, as well as peaceful days away from the hustle and bustle. Large pavements and paths on Leathen Green also allow me to take my dog for walks safely. Previously, I was concerned about the commute into town for work, but I soon realised there wasn’t as much time difference as I thought.
You know who your neighbours are, which is unique after living in the city. When you live in a city flat, most people keep to themselves. They may nod and say hello, but it’s not the same as here. People come out to meet you once you’ve moved in; the neighbours and the staff are both extremely friendly.
I moved because Stewart Milne Homes had the home I was looking for.
I initially thought a bigger place would feel empty, but once I moved, settled in and filled the home with my things, it felt homely. A separate office was needed as I work from home and this home has fulfilled that. It’s like a little workplace. My garden is also nice and big for the dog, which is amazing as I wanted an area where he could run around safely.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because dealing with Stewart Milne Homes has been a smooth process. Any issues have been dealt with promptly and they’ve made sure I’m happy with the purchase, which is good.
James Donaldson -
Stewart Milne Homes gives me confidence that things will be done.
“Silver Birches stands out from other developments.”
The houses are bright and colourful; the bricks are the same, but some have green doors, whilst others have grey. It’s also very peaceful. The play park will be a vital feature for me when it’s open. I have a two-year-old and I’m a childminder by trade, so I’ll be able to save money on travelling whilst keeping the little ones entertained.
“They’re coming round to fix things.”
Initially, we were concerned about what the house would look like. I was promised that the show room would be like my home and that we’d be able to go in prior to purchasing to measure for blinds, but we never got the opportunity in the end. There are some things which haven’t been up to standard, but Mark, the site manager, has been extremely useful when coming over to fix the drain. Rosco has also been a major help; he’s the repair person who has come to mend things for me.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because what we got for the price was fantastic.
Jade Main -
I used to live near the beach, but now I have the countryside, and I love it.
“I never thought I would leave the place I was living before.”
Ballumbie Rise is peaceful. The site itself is elevated, so from upstairs I can enjoy nice views that span right across to Fife. As we’re situated right on a golf course it’s nice and green. I haven’t had to give up nice walks; now I can walk through the countryside, often without seeing anybody and surrounded by lovely views. My dog is very happy and I’m incredibly happy to not to have sand everywhere in my house like I used to. Although I have to drive to the shops I don’t mind. The lack of cars around means it’s quiet and relaxing.
“It’s really modern, but complementary to the surrounds.”
With a variety of styles, the houses sitting on the wide-open streets are beautiful. They are designed for modern living with their nice dining, kitchen and seating areas. Stewart Milne Homes have paid good attention to detail in their finishes and layouts, and to the layout of the development. Having a new build is just so much nicer than anything second-hand, and I was happy that it was also within my budget.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because they go the extra mile compared to other builders. You don't get lip service; they look after you.
Mrs Alison Angus - Ballumbie Rise
“Dargavel Village II is a quality, upmarket development.”
“These are executive flats, and they look it.”
Our flat is modern and bright with the sunlight coming in from all the windows. We like that although it’s relatively small, it’s quite spacious and has a reasonable amount of storage space. The insulation keeps it warm which, these days, is very important. We can also enjoy the view overlooking the fields and trees from our elevated aspect.
“The building itself, along with the fixtures and fittings, looks to be of high quality.”
It’s generally been good. There haven’t been a lot of snags, just a few minor issues that needed to be resolved but none of them were substantial. Overall, we’re happy with their responsiveness to the snagging items.
The nice, green areas of Dargavel Village II make it stand out compared to others.
There are walking routes very close by for us to enjoy. We also have access to a small shopping centre and a railway line, both conveniently within walking distance.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because of the overall experience and the quality of the build.
Mr Ian Paterson - Dargavel Village
“Stewart Milne Homes really look after you.”
“The process with Stewart Milne Homes has been excellent.”
Initially, we weren’t looking to buy a new build because we’d heard horror stories about them. We had no concerns about Stewart Milne Homes themselves, but our minds weren’t really put to rest until we spoke to the sales consultant. Everyone has been open and honest about delays; communication occurred as soon as they were discovered, and situations have been managed well.
“The care doesn’t stop once you move in.”
Being forgotten after moving in was something I wanted to avoid, but that doesn’t happen here. As we were one of the last plots to move in on the development, Sue, the head of the Customer Care department called us to say we should tell her if we had issues because she’ll get someone to fix them as soon as possible. No one makes you feel awkward when you address your issues; there’s no obstruction. It’s been a fantastic aftercare experience.
“When my kids are old enough, I won’t think twice about letting them go to the park alone.”
The Stables has a good vibe to it. My wife and I got a lovely feeling when we first came. Wildlife areas are widespread throughout; there’s one outside my kitchen window. The Stables is still a work in progress, but the play area is great, and the landscaping will look lovely when it’s finished. Having landscaping contributes to the feeling of privacy that’s here, as well as the fact the houses are spaced out. A lot of new builds feel hemmed in, but The Stables doesn’t. Over the road, there are a few established trees, which I like as they weren’t just chopped down for the sake of the houses. Listening to the trees and the birds here can have an incredibly positive impact on mental health too.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the experience has been positive, and the staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. Sue got in touch to run us through the snagging and when people were coming to sort things. Having that connection with a senior member of the organisation makes you feel like you’re being taken seriously.
Martin Brook -
“Living in Bayley Croft, we can enjoy the wonderful views across the pond, towards the trees and to the farmers’ fields beyond.”
“A whole range of things make the experience with Stewart Milne Homes a good one”
I like the care that everyone here takes to make sure that everything goes smoothly. When we came to buy the plot, the saleslady, Michelle, knew exactly what we were looking for. She saw that this property was going on the market, so she contacted us to say that she believed the house was just what we wanted. This meant that we were able to get straight in there and reserve the plot.
“It has a great view, and it’s also nice and quiet”
This was important to us because we had both been used to having these views throughout our lives. Like this one, our last home of twenty-five years also had a view across the farmers’ fields and losing that would have been very sad for us. We are so happy that we didn’t have to give that up.
“Bayley Croft is not too big or too small, and it is close to amenities”
It’s a lovely development which is in a really nice location, close to Nantwich. The Nantwich town centre is lovely. We go there quite a bit, and it is really convenient if you want to get the train at Crewe. If we need to visit bigger shops, we’re only a short distance from Crewe, Chester or Stoke. There are a few golf courses around, where I can play a round or two. My wife also likes to use the local swimming pool for her aqua aerobics, so there’s something here for her too. The energy efficient homes are a bonus, especially with fuel costs going up and the home retains the heat, so we are kept nice and warm.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the staff are nice, the quality of their workmanship is good and, if there are any problems, they sort them out. They take pride in producing very nice homes.
David Lister -
“Stewart Milne Homes build modern, new properties.”
“The quality of the apartments is outstanding.”
My property is south-facing and has a balcony I can access from the living room, which I can enjoy for most of the day in the summer season. I constantly take advantage of this feature. Dargavel Village is landscaped with trees and grass, and that makes the area feel very open plan. Convenience is key and it’s a nice place to walk around. The west end of Glasgow was where I called home previously, so it was a leap to move out to the countryside, but I can visit my daughter and family here. Dargavel Village is a building site right now, but it won’t be long until everything’s cleared; they’re starting to landscape around my apartment.
“There’s a great feel to the place.”
Sainsbury’s is within walking distance and Dargavel Village is very close to the railway station. It only takes twenty minutes to get to the centre of Glasgow from here; I briefly returned there yesterday. I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would; I’m getting quite used to being in Bishopton. Motorways are nearby as well, so Bishopton is very handy for travelling if needed.
“Stewart Milne Homes are there to answer any queries I may have.”
I’m so grateful to Rossana and Ashley as they helped me throughout the process and guided me towards Stewart Milne Homes; I’m glad I went with them. Months ago, Rossana demonstrated the show home and how high quality the décor and tiling was. Carpets and worktop finishing in my property was chosen by me. Normally, I’d find that process difficult, but Rossana assisted me; she spent three hours making sure I’d chosen everything I wanted for my apartment, which was extremely useful.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because of the quality of build, finish, location and friendliness of the Stewart Milne Homes sales staff and building foreman. They can’t do enough for you.
Kenneth Allan - Dargavel Village
“Stewart Milne Homes cares about the people living in their houses.”
“Ballumbie Rise stands out from boring new builds because it looks different.”
I love it because it’s new and modern. The brickwork is a massive part of it. Rather than rows of white houses, the different colours make the houses look unique. The different layouts create interest and space, so the houses aren’t close together, and the green areas make it even better. It feels welcoming turning into the street by the sales office, and the trees and greenery frame the rest of the development. It’s well thought out, and that’s good.
“They’re great houses in a brilliant location, and at a great price.”
We have the smallest house type, yet our garden is twenty metres long. That’s massive for a new build and it will be so good for spending time with family in summer. Situated on a golf course and surrounded by countryside, it’s not noisy or busy here, and it’s still a convenient ten-minute journey to town.
“A lot of people say new builds have a lot of snags – we didn’t find that.”
The team is great. When we speak to the person in charge of the site, John, he sends the appropriate person to get things sorted quickly. The builders are nice and friendly, and they’re here within hours on the same day to fix things.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the sales process is good and the houses are good quality.
Ms Emily Horne - Ballumbie Rise
We enjoy the peace and quiet of Bayley Croft.
“Our plot is tucked away, and we’re surrounded by countryside.”
We’re happy in our small, spacious development. The houses aren’t close together, so it’s nice and private, and it’s lovely having a lot of green space in the area to enjoy. When the attenuation area opens up, that will be a really nice feature that we’ll be able to walk to from our house. The location is handy for Nantwich and the town shops, and it’s convenient to be able to get the train for work. It’s far enough away so we don’t hear the noise of it, but it’s still handy to get to.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…. because of the process from beginning to end, and the updates from Michelle. From the build quality to the responsiveness of the staff, the whole thing has been great.
Mrs Karen Robinson -
“The architect has designed a family home, not just a house of bricks and mortar.”
“Monarchs Rise has those finishing touches that none of the other new builds had.”
We love the way the sun pours into every room of our home. The floorplan is spacious with a welcoming flow throughout.
“It’s well laid out, and the houses are individual.”
The homes are well positioned - set out at slightly different angles so each area has a nice view and sunshine. The green areas are well maintained and inviting. The maintenance team responsible for the upkeep do very well. They’re very quick at mowing the lawns in the warmer seasons and they’ve already got the containers out with sand and salt ready for winter. We feel very well looked after.
"The team at Stewart Milne Homes made our move easy.”
We can’t speak more highly of Andrea’s exceptional customer service; she truly went above and beyond even coming in on our day off to make sure we had our keys. Now that we’re in, even though they’re working on the development, everyone is conscientious. They work as a team every step of the way, whether it’s doing the electrics, the plumbing, or even when they’re mono blocking the driveways. They take pride in their skills.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because we haven’t been disappointed. We've been so happy with everything.
Mrs Carol Rabett - Monarch's Rise
“Ballumbie Rise is a very welcoming and quiet neighbourhood.”
Thinking about our future, it was the perfect choice.
Our house is a lot more spacious than we expected, and it’s even bigger in comparison to other new build developments. They’ve designed it to be family oriented, so we know as time goes on there will be room for our family to grow.
“Everyone is friendly, and I get a lot of help from the people onsite if I need it.”
John the Site Manager is very helpful. We can go to him for anything, and if he’s not around himself he’ll get someone else on the case. When we had a small issue with our unit, the joiners came and fixed it without bother.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the experience we've had from start to finish has been nice, welcoming, and cosy.
Ms Lisa Cosgrove - Ballumbie Rise
“Stewart Milne Homes have been excellent throughout the process”.
“I didn’t have any concerns at all”.
When we researched them online, the reviews were positive and gave us the reassurance we needed to proceed with our purchase. The development, customer service and everything else makes me want to recommend Stewart Milne Homes.
“The house designs aren’t copy-and-pasted”.
All the houses have different features and brickwork, which is important to me as it means the development stands out from other housebuilders.
I love the neighbourhood.
They’ve chosen to build on beautiful surroundings. It’s on a huge patch of land with plenty of greenery, trees and views. Being on the outskirts in a massive field is great because it allows for a quieter way of life.
“The customer service has been fantastic”.
Since we completed on the property, Kirsty and Sian, from sales, and Scott, the service manager, have stopped in and checked to make sure we were okay. Any problems we’ve had have been fixed immediately; this tells us that we went for the right developer when we chose Stewart Milne Homes.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because they always check on you and have been really good. The sales representatives, Sian and Kirsty, have been great throughout.
Erin Kelti-Kane - Brackenhill Park
“Palladian Gardens is quiet, well-spaced out, and has a nice community.”
“It’s not like other new build housing estates.”
Other developers squeeze a lot of houses onto their developments, but at Palladian Gardens there’s a lot of room between each house, and there aren’t many houses on the estate. It’s nice and peaceful, and we’re looking forward to the lovely little nature reserve they will be building at the back that we can walk to from our home. Our neighbours are all good people, so it’s an enjoyable place to live.
The location of Palladian Gardens is ideal.
The accessibility of the local area is great for us. I work in Manchester every day, so having the motorway two minutes away is convenient for my daily commute. The train station to Liverpool and Chester is a five-minute walk away too.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…. It was an easy process and I prefer the build to other companies.
Mr Jonathan Moia - Palladian Gardens
Stewart Milne Homes has the best of both worlds.
“We wanted something with a rural setting that was equally close to amenities”.
Palladian Gardens is on the Wirral Way, which was a real plus for us as we can be tucked away in the countryside, whilst having a train station we can walk to that takes us to Chester or Liverpool. That’s amazing for fuel consumption. Our kids can also go up the Wirral Way on their bikes.
“Palladian Gardens is different to other new build developers”.
Houses here are spaced out well and there are lovely green areas. Other new builds cram houses together, but Stewart Milne Homes have made these more traditionally; they’re set back a bit, which gives the landscaping a more appealing feel. The presentation of the area is lovely.
“Stewart Milne Homes have good quality homes”.
Previously, we owned a new build from a different developer and it was so shoddy, it was unbelievable; Stewart Milnes Homes’ build quality is much better. My dad summed it up best by comparing the home to a car; my old home was a cheap car and this home is luxurious in comparison.
The community is blended well.
Our only concern was that different housing providers would have segregated areas. We thought that would create sub-groups and potentially cause issues, but everyone’s mixed in together and all of the people who’ve moved in are really nice.
“Staff members at Palladian Gardens are all really nice”.
They’ve been working hard to resolve our teething issues, whenever we’ve had them; we haven’t been ignored. The site manager in particular is extremely friendly, and everyone has great communication. We’re certain our issues will be resolved well.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…. because of the quality of the homes and the estate in general.
A Very Satisfied Customer - Palladian Gardens
“Auchterarder is a beautiful place to live.”
“It’s beautiful to see the mix of styles and how everything is well spaced out.”
I love the design and finish of my lovely, little house. Rather than just having a row of similar houses, on my phase they’ve managed to create little pockets of terraced homes, lovely, landscaped areas and mews houses in the middle. They’ve given thought to how it’s all positioned, so every single house benefits from at least one beautiful view from a window. It’s a close walk into town, so it’s perfectly positioned, and the people who live here are friendly. For a brand-new development there’s already a sense of community.
“Stewart Milne Homes was willing to engage, discuss any issues I had and find solutions.”
Kathleen in the Sales Team paid a lot of attention to the people coming through the door searching for a new home. I was looking for a small property and she emailed me straightaway to say this home was coming back on the market, and to ask if I’d like to have a look. Later, I had concerns that it was on the edge of the development and there were some overgrown trees and bushes on the perimeter. At first, it was questionable whether they owned the land and whether it would be landscaped, but all of that was sorted out very quickly. They provided me with landscape drawings and shared their plans so I was very reassured. Even after moving in, the seven-day and twenty-eight-day snagging was followed up efficiently. The Site Team has been happy to help resolve any little issues that cropped up.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because I haven't had a bad experience. I have had some issues, but I’ve been in a new home before, so that's expected. The design is nice and it’s good quality overall.
Mrs Margaret Watt - Hunter's Meadow
Stewart Milne Homes has chosen a great location for Palladian Gardens.
I love how rural the area is.
Farmers’ fields surround us and I wanted to have that type of prettiness around. Going back to living in a town or city environment wasn’t ideal for me, but the surroundings here are just fields. It’s so quiet. We’re on the Wirral Way, which is a real selling point. The path goes right round the peninsula and through the villages on the Wirral.
It’s good having grass verges, not pavements.
Greenery around the roads makes the development look lovely. We’re also close to the train station and motorway network, which really helps with my commute. Palladian Gardens is also a fabulous dog-walking spot.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…. because of what you get for your money, as well as the fact you’re not living on top of each other due to the space around the houses.
Elizabeth Traynor - Palladian Gardens
“Our home will be very good for the long-term.”
“It’s been very carefully planned and designed.”
Stewart Milne Homes have given thought to the layout, what kind of appliances they put in, and even the positioning of the sockets. It all makes sense and is very versatile for the changes you would go through in life. I can see how, as our family grows, we can change the interior as they get older, and even after twenty to thirty years it will be the home we will be happy to retire in.
“Hunters Meadow is a really nice neighbourhood and the location is really good.”
We enjoy living in a quiet corner of our development. We’re surrounded by detached houses, so our neighbours are mostly in a similar situation as us; either expecting, having small children, or having young families. That makes it feel safe and friendly living here. Being on the outskirts of a town, everything is walkable, so we’re not far away from amenities and the local parks. The town is in a good catchment area as well, which is great for our family.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because everything was just easy. It's easy to buy from them and the houses are very good quality.
Ms Peng yu Su - Hunter's Meadow
“Stewart Milne Homes fitted exactly into what we were looking for.”
We’re very happy with the area.
Dargavel Village is set in an amazing location, which we visited multiple times before putting our names down on the plot. Scotland isn’t our home country but, when we moved here, we knew we wanted to be in a more rural setting; that’s why we chose here. Transport links are good, yet it’s out of town and close to the country. The way of life we intended to have has been fulfilled by this area.
“It’s easy to get into the sticks”.
The hills can be seen out of our windows as we’re set back; we also have a view of some lovely duck ponds. Going on walks and removing myself from heavily developed areas is a passion of mine because it’s important to get fresh air, even if we need to be closer to a town as well. Less noise occurs at Dargavel Village as we’re separate from the motorway; it feels like a decent area.
Our concerns have been allayed.
Extra building around us was a worry of ours, but there was none. They are building not too far away from us, but we’re not affected by it. The home is in a little square and the house opposite us was due to be finished last, so we had reservations in how long it’d take, but it was resolved quickly. Also, during the process, we were told what the situation would be.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because, in the grand scheme of things, there have been no issues. Everything went really smoothly and I’m happy with how the build of the house looks. Nothing in the house feels cheap, which is good as we were concerned that things could feel that way. We also got good value for what we were paying.
Claire Stephens-Lee - Dargavel Village
“The Stables has turned into a close-knit community.”
There have been a few snags, but they’ve been rapid when dealing with them.
Whenever we’ve emailed about issues, Paul’s quickly appeared to sort them out. Urgent issues get Paul over in the same day, which is great. Everyone is friendly and sociable, in comparison to other communities, who stick to themselves. These themes have been ongoing throughout the building of The Stables Ph4, which I like because I came from a small village. It’s nice to be in a friendly neighbourhood.
“Everything is to a high standard.”
Overall, it’s a very good-quality building. Views of the horse fields from our plot are gorgeous and picturesque; they feel nice as there’s no development and the roads are well-hidden, even though we’re close to the M6. Despite the building occurring behind us, it’s quiet and peaceful.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
… because the quality and size of the homes seem much better than other developers.
James Smith -
“Broughton Park is a nice, peaceful area to live and to bring up a family.”
“Visually, they’ve gone above and beyond with Broughton Park.”
Driving into the development, first you see the big, well-designed houses. In other developments the houses look like cardboard boxes made of orange bricks, whereas the style of these houses includes attractive features like stone lintels and Juliet balconies. The layout is spacious, so it’s quiet and good for children. As they haven’t clustered the houses together, there’s ample room for a lot of big, green spaces. The large park area they’re building for the children will be perfect for my two little ones.
There are plenty of things to do.
Locally there are excellent amenities. The Italian Orchard and the Broughton Inn are wonderful places to eat with amazing reputations. They serve exceptional food and have a friendly atmosphere. For every day shopping the local supermarkets are about a three-minute drive away, which is very convenient. A short distance away we have bigger amenities like the city centre, and access to a tourist attraction nearby that has a lot of country walks.
“I had a new build from another developer before and a lot of things went wrong, so I was worried about the quality of the build.”
I’m happy that I haven’t had any major snags and that the Site Manager and the staff are really friendly and willing to help all the time. As I hadn’t seen this style of house, I was also worried if it would be big enough, but it’s exactly what I wanted. Now, I even let people come and view my house if they’re interested in buying a Kingsmoor.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because the quality is at a good standard. I like the look of the houses and they choose good locations that are secluded and off the main road.
Mrs Rachel Holden - Broughton Park
"I’ve lived in a city all my life, so living in Dargavel Village II is a change for me."
"To the north we have nice views of open, green fields and forest."
It’s all very well designed and thought out with open spaces and attractive buildings. Sometimes in new developments the flats are very close together and claustrophobic, but you don’t get that impression here. The varied designs are finished with attractive stone-clad façades, and the window patterns and balconies are features that stand out. It’s just pleasant to be in a countryside environment with the village behind us.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because they satisfied all our aspirations and enquiries, and they are good quality flats.
Alex Hill - Dargavel Village
“We’d had a Stewart Milne Homes home before, so we already knew the quality was there.”
“It’s comfortable, friendly, and it feels like home.”
It’s pleasant living in our new apartment. They haven’t tried to cram a lot of rooms in, so the set-up is nice and spacious, and it’s convenient having a lift. They’ve given thought to the wider development too, placing each block of apartments at slightly different angles to make it look less uniform and more interesting. The whole thing is softened up with landscaping, including green areas with bushes and flowers around each block of flats. They’ve also planted around the front of the building and included a nice seating area that we can enjoy. On top of that I feel safe and secure with the entrance system they’ve installed.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because of the way the development is laid out, the quality of the appliances, and the workmanship, as well as their consideration of the family aspect of the homes in terms of room size.
Allison Carson - Dargavel Village
“Lethan Green is unique, small and traditional.”
“Every development being built these days is large, full of semi-detached houses and with a Scandinavian-type build; that wasn’t what we were after.”
Lethan Green feels exclusive. Not only is each house detached, but everyone has their own garage. The style of our own home has an attractive stone frontage that makes it appealing to look at. Surrounding communal areas and gardens have been planted thoughtfully with hedging and a good mix of plants. Trees have been planted in every garden creating a green, lush environment that stands out above the others.
“We have the best of both worlds.”
We’re on the outskirts of the town, almost into the countryside, so we benefit from having local amenities as well as a rural atmosphere with open surroundings. Just outside of the development there will be community allotments and a wildflower garden, and there are already a few good walking areas close by that are ideal for taking our Dachshund and our new Jack Russell puppy out for walks. The puppy training centre will come in handy too, with its fenced in outdoor field where they can run and play.
I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes…
…because from Sales to Aftercare I can't fault them in any way. All the people I've dealt with have been approachable, contactable, and have gone above and beyond. I’m really happy.
Mary Forrest -
