It’s very new, but already it’s nicely laid out and attractive. The roads are wide, there’s plenty of parking for every house and everyone will have landscaped gardens. I’m in the countryside surrounded by farmland, so it’s peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. That was important to me. There are plenty of walks and places to explore, like down the country lanes. There’s a pub down the road, convenience stores and a butcher all within walking distance. I can walk to work and it’s just ten to fifteen minutes to the M55 and the M6. For a bigger town, Preston is nearby. On the coast there’s nightlife with wine bars and restaurants, but then I can come home to a peaceful place where there’s not much traffic. It’s perfect for me.

They’ve added bits that I’ve never seen before, such as a laundry centre. I have a place to store the washing machine, dryer, ironing boards and other bits and pieces. They’ve added a worktop and an extractor fan, and it’s all hidden behind folding doors, so once they’re closed, you’d never know it was there. I thought it was a very clever use of space. I also have a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom and a vanity unit in the bathroom, and it all comes as standard.

Looking at other homes in the area, I feel like Wrea Brook Park is more spacious in its design and layout. It’s still in its early stages, but I can see that once completed it will look very nice. I love the design. The houses look different and are spaced out, rather than having rows and rows of the same, and it’s beautifully landscaped. The driveways outside are just being completed so it’s going to come together nicely with the design and finish of the roads, and it already has a green feel to it. There will be a green area for the children, and a number of established trees have been left in the gardens. That will be helpful to the local wildlife.

Lytham St Anne’s has quite a lively café culture with festivals and all sorts going on. The coastline is fabulous. You can walk for miles and look at the beautiful scenery. I’m also five minutes away from the award-winning village of Wrea Green. With the M55 just ten minutes away, I’m close to all of the amenities and facilities. Shops and a number of supermarkets are just a short drive away.
