I love the attractive, modern look of the houses with the mixture of bricks and wood cladding on the front of the houses. Once everything is done, we will have everything we need here within Regency Place. My kids already use the play parks nearby, and there are plans for schools and shops, like a grocery store and hairdressers. There may even be a hotel here. They’re making it very convenient and easy to live in Regency Place.

Aesthetically it’s really appealing from the paved brickwork of the streets, to the greenery all around, to the beautiful park for the children. There is such attention to detail. The park itself stands out because they’ve done such a good job. There’s a lovely climbing frame, it’s set in sand and it’s all fenced in, so when I’m there with my two-year-old little boy we can go into the park, close the gate and I know he’ll be safe.

They’ve planned the layout of the development so you’re surrounded by your neighbours. There’s a community feel, as well as a feeling of safety, and I think it’s quite impressive that they’ve managed to build that considering it’s early days for the development. I can look outside my house and see a grassy area with trees and concrete benches, and surrounding the park there are lovely green areas and a little stream running through it with bridges. It’s marketed that the development will be expanding, and the primary school that will be in walking distance of our home will be finished in time for my boy to go to school. It’s a great place for families.

I was happy that I didn’t have to pay extra for the beautiful wall to wall mirrors in the bathrooms and the built in wardrobes. I really feel that with Stewart Milne Homes you get value for money.

We’re only about a fifteen-minute drive from the city, but we’re also right next to the beautiful forest right across the road that I walk around with my little boy on his bike, so I feel like it’s country living as well as being convenient to an urban area.

The very first thing that attracted me to Countesswells was the layout, it appealed to me straightaway. There are plenty of trees and green areas so it felt quite spacious and the mixture of styles of houses, together with the way the streets look, made me feel it would be a lovely place to have a home.

I’d previously lived in a flat so buying a new house was a really good move for me, my home is in a small street and having the extra space and especially a garden is great. At the moment there are just the two of us but I’ve a baby on the way so schools were an important part in choosing a new home, there are going to be two new primary schools and a secondary school built in this area in the next few years so that really appealed to me.

Countesswells is a good place for families, it’s got that rural feeling but everything you need is close by. It’s in a pretty, rural area and the forest is nearby. There are little shops and a couple of pubs in the Kingswells area and Aberdeen, with all the major attractions, isn’t that far away. I wanted to live in an area that would be a good place to raise my family. It’s somewhere that I can see myself living for sometime to come.
