Pride in the Job hat-trick for Mill Green employee
Stewart Milne Homes employee, Haresh (Harry) Murji is celebrating after receiving his third Pride in the Job from standard setting body National House-Building Council (NHBC); this time for the Mill Green site in Strines. Judged via site visits over 12 months on elements including quality, health and safety, overall standards and management skills, Haresh and Mill Green were recognised as one of the best in the industry across the UK. Haresh, a site manager for 10 years, identified teamwork as the key to his repeat success: “If it wasn’t for the impressive level of teamwork across the site, this award would not have been possible. Teamwork, especially between the Stewart Milne Homes team and our contractors, is the key to ensuring every detail of the site meets company standards and is achieved to the best quality possible.” Commenting on the award, Haresh adds: “It is always a great feeling to be recognised with the Pride in the Job award and have the quality of my work rated above my competitors.” Introduced by the NHBC in 1980, the Pride in the Job award is designed to recognise the very best site managers in the UK and raise quality standards of new homes by encouraging competition. The award is one of the most prestigious in the house-building industry and, over the years, has become synonymous with the quality of new homes.
