The Setting

Winterley Gardens lies to the east of the Charming village of Winterley and the adjoining village of Wheelock Heath. At the heart of the village and surrounded by farmland and rural countryside is Winterley pool, a large fishing lake, once used to power a corn mill, it is now popular with anglers as well as people who just like to feed the ducks or admire the mute swans and geese.

There is much to admire about the location of Winterley Gardens; just over a mile away is the small town Haslington, to the north you’ll find the larger town of Sandbach and to the west Crewe, which is the main town in the area – both are just a short drive away.

Transport links

You will enjoy a host of excellent amenities and outstanding transport links to towns throughout Cheshire and beyond. The M6 motorway is a ten-minute drive away, and there is an abundance of rails links to be found in Crewe that will take you swiftly to Liverpool, Manchester and London to name but a few.

Living Life

There’s a good variety of shops in Haslington and Sandbach, while most major retailers and supermarkets can be found in Crewe, particularly at the Grand Junction Retail Park and The Market Shopping Centre. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and inns nearby catering for all tastes, including an award-winning pub in the village itself.

Nearby attractions include Little Moreton Hall, a moated half-timbered manor house dating from the sixteenth century; Crewe Lyceum Theatre provides plenty of concerts and shows to entertain and Crewe Heritage Centre is a fascinating rail museum with old locomotives and rides. A little further afield you’ll find many other great outings for families including; Stoke’s Waterworld, Chester Zoo and Oulton Park Racing Circuit.

Education

Close to Winterley Gardens there is an excellent range of schools, including the Croft Pre-School in Haslington, the Goslings Pre-School in Sandbach, Haslington Primary School and Sandbach School, which, in November 2014, was assessed by Ofsted as ‘good’ in all areas.
