Our development looks impressive and interesting, not monotonous like a lot of other new developments.
The houses are all quite big and situated on spacious plots, so it’s all well set out and not overcrowded. There is a variation in house types as well; on our stretch there are 5 or 6 different styles with different bricks and frontages. That makes them unique, rather than uniform, and they are all excellent quality. We also have two or three quite nice, open, green areas and landscaped areas with walls around them. That makes it look quite welcoming coming into the development.

It’s everything we hoped it would be…
The location is really good. It’s a pleasant, easy 10 minute walk to the main street. That’s very convenient. I also travel quite a lot to England and my wife travels to Edinburgh, so the excellent transport links are very beneficial to us both. The motorway is just 2 minutes away and the train station is close by as well.

We’ve definitely made the right decision…
It’s everything and more than we hoped it would be. We absolutely love it here; it’s fantastic and even better than we expected. We initially expected a lot of issues, but there have only been a few and those have been solved really quickly.

Sunnymead is in a prime location

Sunnymead has a village atmosphere
The development is quite close to the city of Glasgow but it’s far enough away to have a village feel. The village is close by and there’s a traditional main street with shops, bars and restaurants just a five minute walk away. It’s a nice residential neighbourhood that feels safe. The train station is close by and you can go to the castle and lots of other tourist attractions.

Sunnymead is an open development with a good network of paths
The route 75 cycle network that goes right through Glasgow has a spur that comes off of it that goes through the development. It directs you through the communal garden area and the play park and it also runs directly to the primary school. We have a one year old boy so that will be very convenient when he starts going to school. I also do quite a bit of running so the local paths are useful.

...they’re a reputable house builder. The houses are well designed and they’re well laid out and well presented in terms of the rooms. We had a really good experience with them.

The Sunnymead development has good transport links

Sunnymead is a well-designed development
We love the layout and the design of the development, the houses are mixed and they’re at different angles. There’s lots of greenery and it’s pleasantly landscaped. All of the properties have good fencing as well so there’s seclusion if you need it. Stewart Milne Homes used attractive mono-blocking on the roads so it’s not just hard tarmac everywhere.

Sunnymead is convenient for travel
We like the whole area, we were semi local to the area so we knew it quite well. We like the development’s proximity to Uddingston’s Main Street and the train station. It’s also close to the motorway, it’s only ten minutes away.

...we like living on this development. The development was designed well, all of our neighbours are friendly and the design and layout of our home really suits our needs. It has good cupboard space and a stand-alone garage. The garden is a good size as well.

It’s a remote area and I am delighted to live here…

It’s a child friendly and safe place to live…
They have built a children’s play area on the development which is great for my daughter. All of the side paths are lit up with waist height lights, pebbles and flowers so she can go out and I don’t have to worry.

All of the houses are different…
Only one other person on the whole development has the same style house as me. All of the houses look professional and they all have their own little mark. They all have different brickwork which isn’t common in new builds.

I love the location…
I live very close to my daughter’s school and shops are nearby. Train stations and buses are so close that you don’t need a car to live here. It’s a private place to live with lots of high fencing and a lovely back garden.

It is a very homely development and the neighbours are great. It was a smooth process and all of my questions were answered. They were really helpful and I had no worries about moving here.

Sunnymead is a vibrant, friendly development that’s perfect for children…

It feels like it’s going to be a real, little community…
There is a nice young, vibrant buzz about it; I grew up around here and in the local area there is nothing else like this. Everybody here so far has been very friendly and the way the development is laid out means we are able to walk around the streets so we can meet our neighbours.

The development is pleasing to the eye…
All of the houses here are slightly different and that makes the place look very nice. There are a lot of green and little common areas for us to us, and there will be a little park in the next stage of the development, which will be a 5 minute walk away.

Children’s safety is part of design…
The development is child friendly. I have one child that has just turned one and another who is three and a half. There’s a little path that goes straight to the primary school which is closed at the moment, but will open next year. It will be perfect for my little one. There are little safety gates at the edge leading out to the road to stop them running out and the development is laid out so that cars cannot go fast.

Everything I need and service that doesn’t stop…
I am now perfectly situated close to the village where I work. There are supermarkets, local shops, a community centre, a doctor’s office and a play café between five and ten minutes away. Not only do I enjoy this convenience, but the girls in the office who sold us the house are still fantastic. If I’m passing by they invite me in for a coffee and make sure that everything is still OK.

The location was the main attraction
The development is quite close to the town of Uddingston, where I am originally from. I moved to the outskirts a few years ago, so being back close to the town centre is great because it’s within walking distance as well. It was the main attraction for us moving here as the location is great. It’s good for people with young children as there are local schools nearby too.

There are a wide range of houses available
One thing I really like about living here is the different number of house types that are available. It shows the development isn’t ‘as standard’ and it’s good for everyone, not just higher end buyers. There are 1 bedroom homes up to 6 bedroom homes, so it’s very appealing.

They have good standards and it's in a really good location. For people trying to start a family or who have a young family, it's a good place to live.

We wanted a new home and we were waiting for Stewart Milne Homes to build a development at Sunnymead; now we’re living here we love the area, the location and the home itself.

We have everything we need right on our doorstep
The location of the development is great, and everything is on our doorstep. We don’t have to travel far to get anything from the shops and there are some really nice local restaurants. It has a nice, local village feel to it and it’s well looked-after. The development is in a place that you can find everything you need.

There’s an eye catching look about the development
The layout of the development and the presentation of the houses are great. The grass verges and the general green aspects are really attractive to me. If I didn’t live on the development and I drove past it, the presentation and the grass verges would catch my eye. We love living here.
