For us, it was the build quality and the way the staff welcomed us in. We loved the look of the homes, especially the finish of the bathroom and kitchen including the vanity units and cupboards. What stood out to us the most was the design and the way everything maximised the space.

The way the houses are set out here we’re not overlooked. There’s space between the houses and they’ve landscaped all around us with woodland and other planting, so we get a feeling of countryside. It feels secure, safe and warm relaxing in our well insulated house with soundproof fencing around us. They’re even building a pond area with pine trees and log rolls that will be perfect for families.

We have a lot of privacy and we’re in the size of house we wanted, so the move was really worthwhile. When we had the tour of our house we could visualise where everything would be because it was brand new, and when we moved in the finishing touches, like the carpets, made it feel homely straight away. Our house is so much warmer than our previous property and I love having a laundry room, so I keep the washing tidied away.

The layout of the development is lovely and where we are we're not overlooked so it's nice and private. It's convenient too; the alleyway in our close makes it really easy to get to the shops. Saying that, it isn't noisy at all. It's easy to walk where we need to and being in a close we have no worries about our boys running out onto a main road - it's nice and safe for them.

"There are horror stories you hear about developers not spending much time with you once things are further along, but that's not something we experienced from Stewart Milne Homes."
The girls in the office got in touch with us whenever they needed to to give us information, and if we had any questions they responded quite quickly. By the time we moved in there was nothing to worry about. Although our house is complete now, and the workmen are no longer dealing with us, they continue to be lovely and pleasant. They always say "hello".

We’re very happy with the high specification appliances, fixtures and fittings we have in our home, and the ample plot sizes give the development an open feel. The layout of our home is so well thought out that every bit of space around the house has been used. The kitchen has storage everywhere and it’s cleverly done with the built-in appliances. Under the stairs, we have quite a large cupboard and every single room has built-in wardrobes, making the room layouts nice and big.

One of our main reasons for moving was the schools. There’s plenty of choice for this area, so that will be good for our little one. There are quite a few things on our doorstep as well, like a nice park around the corner. There’s a lot of open space available for us to go out as a family. We’re quite near to the village as well with plenty of shops all in walking distance. On the development, although only fifteen houses have been handed over so far, there’s already a community feel we enjoy. Everyone is very friendly here.

“The first thing you notice about Upton Pines is how welcoming it is.”
I really like the way the entrance of Upton Pines has been landscaped with bushes and shrubs, it makes it look nice and welcoming and invites people in to have a look. The development has been imaginatively laid out and the houses seem to compliment each other well, similar styles have been grouped together but they’re not all in uniform rows so that adds to the appeal. The many green areas around makes it all feel very open indeed. Upton Pines is close to Upton village which has the usual shops and there’s a little retail centre next to it but it’s also very accessible for Liverpool, yet far enough away so you’re not in the middle of it. In addition it’s quite close to the wilderness of North Wales so there’s the best of both worlds really. It looks like it’s going to be a nice quiet and friendly place to live and as there are schools close by it’s an area that’s going to attract a lot of families.

I think what you get for your money is very good and I’m over the moon with the layout of my house, both inside and out. You’ve used the space very cleverly and by adding high ceilings downstairs it gives it a very spacious feeling. You have also included quite a big en suite which was something I didn’t expect but am very happy to have.

The team at Upton Pines has been brilliant and I’ve settled in very quickly because of how helpful they’ve been. They’ve been in constant contact and I’ve had a good response to the little issues which have arisen; they’ve been fixed very quickly and everyone has been so supportive.
