It’s in the fittings and fixtures, in the kitchen and elsewhere. The doors are solid wood and the tiles are expensive looking and luxury. Having new appliances, a good number of bathrooms and efficient heating is great. I also like that every house isn’t the same. There are variations in the bricks used and different colour doors, so there’s a mix of styles and sizes.

“The development is in a horse shoe shape looking onto a green, so we don’t look directly onto other houses.”
There are a lot of walks around the development, there’s a particular one around the estate that takes you to the old village and further on into the countryside. We also have all the conveniences within walking distance, like restaurants, and we can easily catch a train in the station next to us.

I’d definitely recommend Stewart Milne Homes...
...because we are really happy with the build and the design of the house.

I never thought I would move into a house on a building site, but I have had absolutely no issues. If I need to get hold of anyone or need something fixed Stewart Milne Homes’ staff are right there. The builders also finish sharp at night, so it doesn’t impact our lives at all.

I love the amount of greenery and landscaping in Dargavel Village, the overall finish is beautiful. Stewart Milne Homes specifically kept the old large trees on the site, it’s quite relaxing listening to the leaves blowing in the wind. About a two-minute walk from us, directly across from our house, is a lake lined with trees. In the opposite direction there are lovely fields where I like to take my dogs. The whole estate has a real countryside feel to it.

There are a lot of boundary walls within Dargavel Village which most new builds just don’t have. They really add to the quality of the finish. I like the nice paving stones they have used, especially in the mono-blocked areas and there are lots of little benches where you can stop and take a seat.

Dargavel Village is in a really good location. It’s central but also has a rural feel to it so is a relaxing place to stay. It takes less than five minutes to walk to the train station from our house but we can’t hear or see the trains at all. From there, twenty minutes later you are in Glasgow which is only ten minutes by car. This just makes everything easier as in the past we wouldn’t worry about going for a night out as it was just too much bother, hassle and expense. Now it is so much easier and we are hoping to be much more social. We also have two kids and everything locally that we need like a country pub, places to eat, parks and a play centre. We have a one year old and a three-year-old and can do something, nearby, every day of the week.

...because we bought a great house in a good area for a great price. The staff at Stewart Milne Homes have given us really good service and were really responsive when we asked them for something. Any issues that we reported had progress within twenty-four hours. I didn’t expect it to be that good.
